Happy National Latina Day!!
You may be surprised to know that my sweet and very fair mama is 100% Puerto Rican, making me half.
I grew up very close to my Abuela and Papi where I learned Spanish, all about arroz con pollo, tostones, and dancing - and my mom carried that on for me.
That and being an Air Force BRAT is a huge part of what shaped me and who I am.
I can tell you with complete confidence that I have a history and ancestry of very strong women behind me and beside me.
